Lagos is rightly regarded as the Algarve’s finest and most popular town due to its variety of tourist-friendly beaches, rock formations, bars, restaurants and for its vibrant summer nightlife and parties.
Good surfing and relaxed beaches attract laid-back outdoor types, but the old town’s 16th-century walls and Arab-built castle keep architecture-lovers happy, too.
Almost the whole year this area has summerlike temperatures, even during spring and autumn the temperature rarely drops below 20 °C.
Portugal is famous for the quality and consistency of its waves all year around. Many call the Algarve “the European surfer’s paradise”.
After a day of surfing and Portuguese lessons you can enjoy Lagos’ amazing nightlife. Lagos comes alive when the sun goes down with its pubs, laid-back bars, karaoke venues, cafés and after-dark beach parties.
Lagos is a cosmopolitan town where you will find surfers and tourists from all around the world to hang out with and you will have plenty of opportunities to practice your Portuguese in real life situations.
